Employment specifications and requirements:


All field staff complete an extensive orientation program. This orientation program includes videos, exams, skills lab and hands-on training. Every staff member is assigned to an RN Case Manager who is responsible for continuing training. All staff are encouraged to pursue continuing education specific to home health. Inservices and staff meetings are also offered.
  1. Maintain a current Texas RN or LVN license and CPR
  2. Two satisfactory references from previous employers
  3. Minimum of 6 months nursing experience, either home health, hospital or nursing home
  4. Good verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills
  5. Ability to organize work and schedule effectively
  6. Able to pass Omega Home Health's nurse exam
  7. Complete the orientation program and skills lab
  8. Maintain current driver's license and car insurance
  9. Ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis
  10. Yearly TB test and random drug screen

Full Time Benefits:
  1. PTO Time: Includes vacation time, sick time and holidays - 15 days per year
  2. Medical Ins: Aetna, with a minimal cost to employee based on plan selection.
  3. Compensation for Holidays: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
  4. Time & 1/2 for Overtime
  5. Mileage Pay at  appropriate rate
  6. Bi-weekly pay periods
